Dormitory / Hostel Rules & Regulations
(Applicable to all residents and tie-up centres PAN India)
1. Admission & Check-In
Present a valid government photo ID and exam admit card at check-in.
Rooms/beds are allotted only to registered candidates; no unauthorized visitors.
Full payment and a refundable security deposit are required at booking.
2. Cleanliness & Hygiene
Keep your bed space, lockers, and common areas clean at all times.
Shoes to be stored in racks; personal items must not block corridors or exits.
Garbage must be placed in the wet/dry bins provided.
Penalty: ₹20 for littering or leaving trash outside bins after one warning.
3. Quiet & Study Environment
Silence hours: 9:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m. (study period).
No loud conversations, phone calls, or music without headphones.
Penalty: ₹30 for each instance of disturbing others during silence hours.
4. Smoking, Alcohol & Substances
Smoking, alcohol consumption, or narcotics are strictly prohibited indoors.
Use only designated outdoor smoking areas if provided.
Penalty: ₹50 per violation plus possible eviction for repeated offence.
5. Food & Kitchen Use
A dry kitchen/pantry is available for self-cooking.
Management provides basic utensils and dried food items (e.g., rice, pulses, tea/coffee) on nominal rent, payable at the reception. Residents must: Clean utensils immediately after use. Not leave cooked/perishable food unattended. Use only the provided induction/electric stoves (no gas cylinders/open flame).
Penalty: ₹20 for leaving utensils unwashed or pantry untidy.
6. Safety & Security
Lock your valuables; management is not responsible for theft. Fire exits and corridors must remain clear.
Tampering with fire equipment, CCTV, or electrical fittings is a serious offence.
Penalty: ₹50 plus actual cost of repair/replacement.
7. Conduct & Discipline
Respect staff instructions and fellow residents.
Harassment, discrimination, abusive language, gambling, or possession of weapons is prohibited.
Penalty: ₹50 and possible eviction.
8. Visitors & Curfew
No visitors inside dorm rooms. Meetings, if needed, only in the reception/common area.
Entry/exit after the 10:00 p.m. curfew requires prior approval.
Penalty: ₹30 for late entry without approval.
9. Check-Out & Damages
Vacate by the booked check-out time.
Damages will be charged at actual cost and deducted from the security deposit.
10. Management Rights
Management may refuse admission or terminate stay without refund for repeated violations or illegal activities.
Rules and penalties may be revised; updates will be displayed on notice boards and booking portals.
Penalty Payment & Record
Penalties are payable immediately at the reception and recorded against your booking ID.
Three or more violations may lead to cancellation of stay without refund.
